Routine cleanings is recommend every 3-6 months (case dependant) to remove plaque and tartar buildup, which help prevent bleeding gums, cavities, gingivitis, bone loss and other health issues like heart disease. Untreated gum disease is highly dangerous and is linked to several systemic diseases and leads to one third of adult tooth loss. This may include the application of fluoride to teeth to strengthen enamel and prevent cavities, often recommended for children and patients with a high risk of decay.
Tooth coloured fillings is used to treat mild to moderate cavities where decayed tooth material is removed. This preventative treatment can prevent tooth ache, sensitive teeth, root canal treatment and tooth loss in the future. It can also be used to repair chipped, worn-down teeth and replace old metal fillings.

Payment for all treatments must be made directly to SFD upon completion of the treatment. All quotations and invoices include the necessary treatment and ICD-10 codes for you to submit claims to your medical aid for reimbursement.
